Consultations are opportunities for caregivers to gain not only compassionate support, but clarity, astute insights, and forward-thinking resources to better understand and respond to distressing or puzzling aspects of their/their child’s lives. A consultation might be overarching in nature, helping caregivers better understand the neurological, cultural, and environmental contexts for their/their child’s experiences, and/or focused on addressing a discrete problem. Regardless, we “zoom in and out” to unearth and better understand what’s posing a problem on the surface, and then address whatever it is that’s challenging the family unit with a highly discerning neuro-informed lens, cultural humility, and curiosity. Consultations are educational and yield “aha!” moments and contemplative pauses as new perspectives and concepts are shared. They are also nurturing and bring relief, with concrete courses of action developed from a place of heartfelt empathy and a shared sense of community. Clients may book consultations on an as-needed basis or set up recurring sessions (weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly).

Counseling is available for children/young people ages 3-22 and is provided virtually or in-home. Play, creativity, and authenticity set the backdrop for exploration of self, relationships, and identity in a staunchly neuro-affirming, safe space where all aspects of a person’s being are welcome and appreciated. Each young person is honored for what makes them uniquely them as they’re guided in developing a healthy self-concept and toolkit to confidently navigate their lives. ND3 Counseling is attuned, deliberate, and empowering. Clients may book counseling on an as-needed or recurring basis, with whatever cadence (e.g. weekly, bimonthly) is most supportive.

Cothú (Irish for “nurture”) is a unique program to better understand, support, and connect deeply with your Autistic child/teen. For decades, Autistic children have been “understood” based on non-Autistic people’s assumptions and interpretations of their outward presentation. Cothú’s inside out approach flips conventional thinking on its head . Developed by the Autistic founder of AUsome Training and delivered by award-winning trainers who are autistic themselves, Cothú focuses on your child’s inner experience – how they process, sense, communicate, and feel – to help you, and them, anticipate needs, mitigate stressors, ignite passions, and craft a joyful life where they can thrive as their authentic selves.
We’ll (re)examine the usual parenting playbooks and their inaccurate and outdated premises, explore – through an Autistic lens – the beauty and barriers of navigating the world as an Autistic person, and identify practical tools and strategies to support your child’s daily life. You’ll leave empowered to write a playbook for your child and family built on a foundation of mutual understanding, trust, and deep connection. As such, Cothú is for caregivers of ANY Autistic person, inclusive of diverse support needs, ages, and co-occurring conditions.

Having a former school psychologist - who has effectively run and/or powerfully participated in nearly a thousand IEP meetings - join your IEP meeting can meaningfully change the course of IEP eligibility determination and plan development, and can lead to an IEP team developing a more accurate and complete understanding of your child. With ample preparation in the form of multiple preparatory meetings and thorough document review, ND3 can join your meeting in person or virtually to assist in advocating for your child/young person, and to also glean key insights about your child’s team and programming to aid in further advocacy.

Families can access IEP/504 support in the form of a thorough review, thoughtful, specific and detailed written recommendations, and a live meeting to review questions and feedback about the support plan. Recommendations will include adjustments to be incorporated into the given support plan, as well as recommendations for a caregiver’s next steps in advocating for their child’s particular educational needs.
